This warranty does not cover damage, defects, or issues arising from circumstances including, but not limited to:

• Normal wear and tear.

• Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, or improper care.

• Cracks, chips, scratches, or impact damage to benchtops or surfaces.

• Water damage, excessive moisture, condensation, or water scale.

• Steam damage, including damage caused by opening dishwashers during or immediately after cycles.

• Damage caused by sinks not being correctly earthed, as required by the sink manufacturer.

• Alterations, modifications, or repairs carried out by anyone other than MR SHELF or its authorised contractors.

• Use of harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents.

• Damage caused by fire, flooding, earthquakes, natural disasters, or events beyond MR SHELF’s reasonable control.

• Consequential, indirect, or incidental loss or damage.

Product & Manufacturer Warranties

Third-party manufacturers supply many of the products and components installed in your kitchen and carry their own warranties. These warranties are separate from the MR SHELF workmanship and installation warranty.

Examples include:

• Benchtops – Manufacturer warranties typically range from 5–10 years, depending on the material used (e.g. engineered stone, laminate, porcelain, stainless steel, timber).

• Cabinetry hinges and drawer runners – Generally covered by a lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

• Accessories – Including handles, bins, lighting, storage organisers, and speciality fittings are covered by their respective manufacturers' warranties.

• Sinks and tapware – Covered by the relevant manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand and product.

Please note:

• Some sink manufacturers require sinks to be electrically earthed. This remains the homeowner’s responsibility and should be confirmed with a registered electrician.

• Damage caused by scratching, water scale, staining, impact, or misuse is not covered under the MR SHELF warranty.

Tenanted or Rental Properties

Where an MR SHELF kitchen is installed in a rental or tenanted property, the warranty remains with the property owner.

Damage caused by tenants, occupants, contractors, cleaners, or third parties — including misuse or failure to follow care instructions — is not covered.

It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure all occupants understand and follow the recommended care and maintenance guidelines.
